**Attention all Kinnikinnick District Families**

In the event that your student has to be quarantined for any reason, whether it be close contact or a positive Covid test, you ARE able to order remote meals and pick them up on Mondays from 4:30-5:30 at RMS.  Please email me (jcarollo@kinnschools.org) to let me know that your student(s) are under quarantine and would like remote meals. I will then send you a link to the form to fill out.

For the safety of our staff, we ask that you do not pick up remote meals if you or someone you're close with is showing symptoms of Covid or has been in close contact with someone who is displaying symptoms or has a positive test result.

Thank you.

Share Bins Now Available at Kinnikinnick and Stone Creek!
*Share bins will be unavailable until further notice.*

Picture
Oftentimes, the students have food on their trays that they do not want to eat.  At the same time, we have students who are still hungry when they've finished their lunch.  Instead of having the students throw away items that they do not want, we are allowing them to put these closed items into a bin that is available for any student to take from!
Not only will this help with waste, it will also allow those who are still hungry to receive more food, AND whatever is leftover at the end of lunch periods will be kept by teachers and nurses to provide snacks to any child who needs one throughout the day!

As with all programs, there are rules that we must adhere too.
1) All items that are put on the share table MUST be closed and from the school kitchen ONLY.
This is because of food allergy concerns, food safety concerns, and calorie/nutrition concerns.

2) No food that is brought from home can be placed on the share table.

I think that this will be a wonderful new addition to our Food Service program!

Any questions or concerns?

Vegetable Taste Tests at Ledgewood and Stone Creek!

Did you know, every month at Ledgewood and Stone Creek, students are invited to try a new vegetable during our monthly taste test!!

So far this year, the student have tried Red Peppers, Sugar Snap Peas, and Cauliflower!

Not only do they get to try a new veggie but included each month, teachers are given fun facts about the veggie, coloring and activity pages for the students, a life size plastic model of the veggie, a sticker and certificate for those who try it, AND a fun game of veggie bingo or a fun matching game!

In December, students will be invited to try Grape tomatoes followed by Roasted Chickpeas in January!
